The Resilient Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. Resilience can mean a lot of things to different people. Sometimes, the very meaning of resilience can change depending on your context. For some, resilience is a way to beat stress and burnout; for others, resilience is about being mentally tough. According to what I found in the Oxford dictionary, the origin of the word resilience is the Latin word resiliere, which means to recoil or to jump … which loosely links to ‘spring back’.

You could be springing back from a tough situation (personally or professionally), you could be springing back to life from an illness, you could be springing back from abject failure, or you could be springing back from a broken relationship. Whatever the situation, that very act of springing back is resilience. This book highlights some core concepts to build your resilience and, to further aid your understanding, I have included quizzes, reflective questions, motivational quotes, and checklists to help you get started in building your resilience.
